Down here in the island state the CTP is paid at the same time registration fee is paid, which is so much simpler. We also only have one provider of CTP which is MAIB (Motor Accident Insurers Board) https://maib.tas.gov.au/

The QLD system is just a matter of selecting a provider and ticking their box, you don't have run around and actually do anything.

We used to be just SGIO, you would have to go to their offices, get your green insurance certificate, then head over to Main Roads with it to register the car.

victoria is the best .... 3rd party injury insurance is just a part of registration. It should actually be a part of the license fee. they will never do this as people that have multiple cars will then only pay one lot of insurance rather than many.

Looks like NSW is the odd one out of the eastern states with a separate CTP system.
